Whether it is friends, family or business - healthy relationships are the basis of a healthy life. They can make or break a friendship, marriage, or business partnership. So why not put some conscious effort into building healthy relationships that will last and prosper? Give a little, take a little, let go a little - listen and hear more. When we give to a relationship that which we would like to receive, it is amazing how the relationship will blossom and bloom. So many times we are looking for 'what the other person can do for me" when really, the key is 'what can we do for one another. Each person must be albe to give and to receive. Over time, couple relationships can lose some of their sparkle and shine just from the struggles of everyday life. In the beginning stages of a relationship, it is amazing how you vow to never let the spark of passion dwindle or extinquish itself. And it is equally as amazing how quickly things can change and we never even realize until it's almost too late. To maintain the passion for our loved one, we must be diligent with our daily words and actions. It 's important that we listen to and observe our actions. It's easy to spend a lifetime trying to change someone else - and I use the word 'trying' because that's all you can do. You can really only change yourself and as you do that, others around you respond accordingly.

Trust is the most important foundation to build a business relationship upon and when it is established early on, many a storm can be weathered. There are great business partnerships that started out well but changed abruptly . It is most important that agreements are reached early on as to how you will settle things in the event that it doesn't work out and you choose to part ways. It's the old Stephen Covey principle - 'Start With The End In Mind'. - have a succession plan. When you do this, you will have less of a problem trying to resolve an issue if things become tense. Treat this relationship as you would any other, with great respect and handle it with tender, loving care. Great business relationships can bring great friendships.
